The Sikorsky S-70 is an American medium transport/utility helicopter family manufactured by Sikorsky Aircraft. It was developed for the US Army in the 1970s, winning a competition to be designated the UH-60 Black Hawk and spawning a large family in US military service. S-70i Black Hawk: International military version assembled by Sikorsky subsidiary, PZL Mielec in Poland.
Sikorsky has signed a contract to supply six S-70i Black Hawk helicopters to the Fuerza Aérea de Chile (Chilean Air Force). The deal will bring the total number of Black Hawk helicopters operated by Chile and four other Latin American countries to more than 140, Sikorsky said. Delivery of the helicopters takes place in 2018.
